In 2009 a group of like-minded people formed a steering committee in order to set-up a disability forum in Fareham. Disability forums were working throughout the country, making a huge difference for people with disabilities by influencing the development of services.
Eventually the steering group evolved into a small charity – Fareham Area Disability Forum, with the aim to promote the care, welfare, interest, education and advancement of Disabled People, their independence and inclusion within the community of Fareham and the surrounding areas.
Fareham Area Disability Forum has been involved in many consultations e.g. at Fort Nelson and the D-Day Museum.
